FAQ

Frequently asked questions about ordering and pickup

Ordering

How does ordering work?

Browse the counter, add the cuts you want, and pick a pickup day and time. Give us your name, phone, and email, then send the request. The shop checks it and confirms. You pay at the shop when you pick up: cash or card.

Do I need an account?

No. You can order as a guest. If you sign in with an email and password, we fill in your details for you, keep your order history, and let you reorder past items in a tap.

Why do I have to confirm my email?

We email you a 6-digit code. Typing it in proves the address is yours, so order updates reach you. Your browser remembers it, so you won't be asked again next time on the same device.

Can I choose how my meat is cut?

Yes. Each item offers its own choices, such as weight in quarter-pound steps, cut thickness, slices, half or whole slab, or package size. There is no free-text notes box. If you need something special, call the shop after you order.

What if something is out of stock or out of season?

It stays on the counter with an "Out of stock" or "Seasonal" badge, but you can't add it. On out-of-stock items you can tap "Notify me" and leave an email or mobile number. We keep it only to tell you once when the item is back, and delete it after 180 days.

Pickup

When can I pick up?

Choose a day and a time window at checkout. You can book up to about four weeks ahead. Same-day pickup needs at least two hours' notice before the window starts.

Why is a day greyed out or marked "Full"?

Greyed-out days are days we're closed. Each time window takes a set number of orders. When every window on a day is full, the day shows "Full" and can't be picked.

Do you deliver?

No. Pickup only, at the shop.

Where are you and when can I pick up?

Our address, phone number, and pickup windows are on the home page under "Hours & location".

Prices and payment

How do I pay?

At the shop, when you pick up: cash or card. Nothing is charged online and no deposit is taken.

Is the price I see the final price?

Not always. Cuts sold by weight show an estimate. The final price is set when the shop weighs your order. Some items say "Priced at pickup". If prices aren't shown, we'll tell you the price when your order is ready, before you pick up. Your order page shows the final total once it's set.

What if my order is declined or cancelled?

You owe nothing. No payment was taken, so there is nothing to refund.

After you order

Is my order confirmed straight away?

No. An order is a request. It shows as "Awaiting review" until the shop accepts or declines it. After that it moves through Accepted, In progress, Ready, and Picked up.

How will I hear about my order?

By email, when your request is received, accepted, ready, or declined, if the shop proposes a change, or if it's cancelled. If you tick "Text me order updates" at checkout, the same updates also reach you by text. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

What is my order number?

It looks like SPCT-12345678. It's in your emails and on your order page. Quote it at the counter. Staff can also find your order from the last digits of your phone number.

How do I check my order?

After you send a request you land on your order page. Save that link. It's the only way back. You can also paste the link on the "Find my order" page. If you no longer have that link, call the shop or tell us at the counter. If you're signed in with a confirmed email and phone, your orders also appear in your account history.

Why was my order declined?

The shop's reason is shown on your order page.

Changes and cancelling

The shop proposed a change. What now?

The shop may suggest a different day, weight, quantity, or price, or tell you an item isn't available. Nothing changes until you accept. Accept or decline on your order page within one day and before your pickup, or the request is cancelled. If you accept, it goes back to the shop for final confirmation. The shop may also make small updates directly. You'll get an email either way.

What if I can't make my pickup time?

Call the shop.
